SAP IMPLEMENTATION

The existing system needs to be thoroughly analyzed before implementing any ERP solution. Moreover, the challenges and complexities involved in such a project demand a systematic approach that considers various factors related to business, technology, operations, obstacles and limitations. GreenByte has developed a 3-tier approach to execute the proposed assignment, based on the following steps. First, we will have initial discussions with the Senior Management to understand their Vision, Long Term goals, Corporate/Functional Objectives and the MIS requirements. We will adopt their existing plan if available, with necessary modifications if needed. Second, we will conduct intensive workshops with the Functional Heads to understand their Short Term and Long Term Planning Procedures, Supply Chain Logistics and the Reporting Requirements. Third, we will interact with the Functional staff to understand their current processes, pain points, expectations and suggestions.

IMPLEMENTATION METHODOLOGY

This phase aims to plan and prepare the Project. Each project has different goals, scope and priorities, but the steps in this phase help us focus on the main aspects to consider. Before we start implementing, we need to address some key issues at the start of the project, such as:

• Defining project goals and objectives,
• Clarifying the scope of implementation,
• Defining implementation strategy,
• Defining the overall project schedule and implementation     sequence,
• Establishing the project organization and committees, and     Assigning resources.

BUSINESS BLUEPRINT AND PROCESS

The purpose of this phase is to create the Business Blue print, which is a detailed documentation of the simplified business process, which will cover all the processes documented in the AS IS phase.

Deliverables

• Refine the original project goals and objectives,
• Define the baseline scope,
• Refine the overall project schedule,
• Develop System Environment and technical blue print
• Business Organization Structure, and
• Business Process Document.

GO LIVE AND SUPPORT

This phase marks the transition from pre-production to live operation. The system is ready for users after loading the closing balances. We need to establish a support organization for users, both for the initial critical days and for the long term. Users may have many questions during this phase. They should be able to access user support easily. This phase also involves monitoring and optimizing system performance.
